Discover Hāpai Whanau

The word Hapai comes from te reo Māori. It means to empower, lift up, support.

We are a charity created to support families on their journey of relationship with their children.

Hapai Whanau’s parenting courses weave science with your own wisdom so you and your family can flourish.

We all want to enjoy relationships with our children. We want to enjoy the journey, and in time, love being around our adult children. While we imagine having perfect children might be nice, what we really want are enjoyable, healthy relationships.
